Aloha everyone! It’s Friday again which means that over at An Island Life it is time for Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So on Fridays we take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, she asks a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. Then everyone else asks a simple question of their own blog for others to answer.
Here is my question:
What made you start blogging?
My answer:
I initially started to blog as an outlet on my crazy life, then I noticed that a few friends of mine were doing giveaways and started to enter, then it became an addiction to enter, then i decided to try my hand at giveaways and starting putting myself out there and now I am doing all of the above lol.
I look forward to reading more of your questions and be sure to go to An Island Life to link up and answer her question.

A Small Wish

While i was surfing around Etsy and emailing shops asking if they would like to participate in my Back 2 Blogging Bash I came upon this store called Small Wish. I emailed her and asked her if i could do a review of the slings she makes because i fell in love with an absolutely gorgeous one called Blue and Brown Tree. Then i continued to surf further and found a cute matching burp cloth AND a matching diaper clutch.
So i emailed her in hopes I could review the sling and i would purchase the other items later. She promptly emailed me back and explained that although she would love to do something like this the proceeds from her sales go towards her adoption funds so she simply could not afford to do a giveaway at this time. I emailed her right back and told her i understood but asked if i could post a blurb on my blog anyhow about her products because i thought it was a cause that all my readers would love to hear about and hopefully would be willing to share with their blog readers.
She told me that would be wonderful and explained that they just started the process to adopt a sweet baby girl from Ethiopia and that they have already adopted a child, a daughter, from JiangXi China whom is 4 years old and they also have a biological child, another daughter, who is 3.
So i got browsing around her Etsy shop and found so many more slings i could totally see myself wearing, here are just a few of my favorites.
Small Wish baby slings come in the following sizes (custom sizes are available).
Small (23-24″)
Medium (24-25″)
Large (25-26″)
X-Large (26-27″)
The diaper clutch measures 10 x 7 and can hold 2-3 diapers and a travel wipes case. The fabric is interfaced to make it more sturdy and top stitched for a chic finished look. Features include a velcro closure and a silver bracelet. Simply slip the bracelet over your wrist to carry the clutch and have hands free to carry your baby. It can also be hung on a hook or over a door knob for convenience.
If you buy any sling you can purchase one matching burp cloth for $5.00 and Your burp cloth will be made with the same printed fabric on your sling.
, if you choose to order them seperate you can buy a two pack for $12.00. The burp cloths are 18 x 12 inches and made with Gerber birdseye 3-ply cloth diapers, which have been prewashed. These burp clot
hs are machine washable – Gentle Cycle, Cold and dry on low heat. They have been top stitched with a vine embroidery.
So please I am asking, no begging, all you my readers to put her button on your blog, and post a small blurb at the very least about her shop and send all the people you can to check out her products and purchase if they can. The prices are very reasonable and the funds are going to a VERY good cause.

I finally figured out the subscribe via email function on this baby, it took me awhile and lots of frustration. Probably would have taken less time without my 4 month old nursing on me and kicking my laptop constantly lol but yay i got it.
Piggy Paint Review

One day Melanie Hurley was painting her two little girls fingernails and while painting them one of her daughters dropped a glob of nail polish o the foam plate they were painting their nails over. Shortly after the polish began to bubble and ate through the plate. That is when she decided that she was never going to use solvent based nail polish on her daughters nails again. Thus Piggy Paint was born. Piggy Paint is made from natural ingredients, it is odorless, hypoallergenic and biodegradable.
Maddisyn and I received a bottle of Piggy Paint in Girls Rule as well as a bottle of nail polish remover. As soon as i opened the package I knew the color totally suited Maddisyn and her bright attitude. We got right to work painting her nails, we bathed her, then we cleaned her nails up with the nail polish remover to make sure all the natural oils were removed so they would not interfere with the polish and how it worked. So we pulled out Maddisyns little rocking chair, the blow dryer and put on our secret weapon, Toopy and Binoo, and got to work on her nails. She sat like a good little girl and watched TV while i painted her nails, then we sang our ABC’s twice as the instructions suggest to let the polish air dry before we turned the blow dryer on her nails for another minute or two. Then Maddisyn went down for a nap, and when she got up her paint was gone. I was bummed but thought maybe i didn’t do something right so we went through the process again and it did the same thing.
We were quite confused on why it was not working and thought perhaps it was just our daughters nails or perhaps something in the bottle of polish was not right, i am happy to say i contacted Piggy Paint about it and let them know and they were amazing about it, explained the directions to me again to verify i had not missed something and when we were sure it was not me, and trust me it could have been lol, they were kind enough to send us another bottle of the paint, they sent it out on Friday and i received it on Monday, that was some super quick shipping. This time we got Dandelion Dance and i am happy to say that we put it on Maddisyns nails and it is still there. She is super proud of her gorgeous nails and we had a ton of fun painting them. She calls them her pretties and is always looking at them and showing them off. I am anxiously awaiting it to come off more so i can clean up her nails and paint them again cause we had so much fun.
Check out Piggy Paint and tell me what color you would use on your little one or yourself and please spread the ords to your friends to come check out and follow my blog publicly.
Piggy Paint has graciously provided Jabbering Jessi’s readers with a 15% discount code: JESS15L that is good anytime between now and September 15th 2009.
