How do you blog about something

That you cannot even use? Ok don't get me wrong I know that this is a competitive thing and such but it really irks me when bloggers have stuff on their blogs that they obviously could not have fully tested. Sure you could tell me how cute it is, so can a picture on a site, you can tell me how soft YOU think it is but i want to know if it holds up to blowout diapers and babyfood. Strollers, playpens, cribs, bouncy seats, baby carriers and all those things. How can you even come close to wrtin a proper review of it when you cannot test it to the extent and put it through all the rigors that a person with a child using it would put it through. How are we to know if the seat is too narrow or is perfectly wide, canopies cover enough, my two year old can sleep comfortably in the playpen, my infant will like the carrier if you have not used it yourself. I have been working my butt off to be a proper mom blogger and turning down ops for products I think that would just not work for our family and it kills me to see people with 9, 10, 11, 12 etc year olds reviewing a double stroller. I have been trying for quite some time to actually get a good double stroller for review here on jabbering jessi but I cannot get any of the companies to work with me, I thought for a brief send MacLaren wanted us but they wanted us to review a couple of their adorable stuffed toys instead which I am happy to do but sad at the same time that I am unable to review a double stroller again. I approached bumbleride and three seperate times over the last year have been told I am on the list or to contact later and still nothing, I cannot even get them to tell me what they look for in a blogger so I can figure out how to be what they need. I thought again we were going to work with country moose kids but she has not responded to me in like 2 months so i guess that is a no-go. Behind the scenes it sucks being a blogger and turned down so much, but I am still working hard to brng a double stroller review to my blog becase I feel it would fit and I would actually be able to do an accurate review and since my readers are almost all moms looking for opinions on things it would certainly help them.
Tony Hawk Ride Review
Tony Hawk Ride has completely redefined the way we play sports games. Before there was a complex series of buttons that had to be hit in the correct sequence in order to pull off any tricks. Now just a few quick movements of your body and you can dive into almost any trick, simply stand on the board and go. Pop up the nose (front) of the board to Ollie (jump), tilt the board a bit while you're in the air to pull off a trick, grab one of the sensors on the board controller at the same time and you can master grab tricks and many more.
Activision sent us a copy of this really awesome game for the PS3 and we quickly got it up and running and just as quickly it stopped working. The first board we received did not work but we contacted Activision and they quickly replaced it with a new copy which works like a charm. We simply plug in the wireless dongle click the connect button on it and then press the PS button on the skateboard, when you first take it out you do need to calibrate it but once calibrated it is just plug n play every time.
The new motion sensitive board controller is great fun and exercise, once you get into the game you don't even think of or realize that you are exercising. With Game modes like Training to build your skills and learn the basics to Challenge in which you perform specific tricks as you skate through each area and Party mode that allows up to 8 people to play in multiplayer and online. The game includes 3 different Difficulty levels Casual that gives you a guided path to follow, Confident which does away with the guided path and allows you to roam where you please but gives you the odd nudge to help with your tricks, and Hard core, no assistance at all just you and the board and a high likelihood of bailing.
All of us have had a great deal of fun learning and playing Tony Hawk Ride, none of us have mastered anything but jumping (ollie) but it doesn't stop us from trying haha. Even if you didn't enjoy any other Tony Hawk games or sports games, this one is definitely worth the addition to any family game collection and is sure to bring hours upon hours of fun to your living room. Even Maddisyn likes to stand on the board and pretend she is skating along, it is rather cute.
One of the big downfalls I felt with this game is that while it is awesome to be able to use the skateboard as the controller I was rather disappointed that we could not use a normal controller with the game. If you are disabled you won't be able to get to try this awesome game because you cannot stand on the board, I definitely think that is something Activision needs to consider. All in all though in this house we give it two thumbs up.

Puppy Cakes Review
My dog is an important member of our family. I know when her birthday is and we will celebrate it with her, she will get a present (a big huge bow and a new collar), and we will make her a cake. Before I was making our pets cakes from scratch which was a bit of a pain. Now thanks to puppy cakes I will not have to worry about making scratch dog cakes anymore and our special pup gets to have a cute flavored cake with icing.
How It Started
The idea for Puppy Cake came when our owner, Kelly Chaney, was looking at a client's old advertisements. This client made cake mix for people. As she was looking at the cake mix, she said to herself, "Wouldn't that be great if they made this for dogs? People are celebrating dog's birthdays more and more." Then she realized that she could make this product. In August 2007, Puppy Cake became an official company. In November 2007, the product launched.

We received both the cake mixes that are available which are Fifi's Favorite Cake Mix and Frosting Mix & Buddy's Best Banana Cake Mix and Frosting Mix each one of the puppy cake mixes costs $5.99 and comes with the cake mix and frosting. For the cake you have to add an egg, vegetable oil and water. You can either bake it in the oven or cook it in the microwave. Then for the frosting you add water. Each cake mix makes 6 cupcakes or a 4" round cake. I made Holley the banana cake mix and she absolutely went insane over it, it was easy to make and did not smell terrible cooking which was definitely a plus in our books. I am saving the second one for her actual birthday which is June 1st. I cannot comment on the actual taste because I refused to eat it haha but Holley sure liked it so I am willing to bet it did not taste terrible.
Puppy Cake also carries any pans that you may need to make your special pooch their treat. They have a dog bone shaped pan, a dog bone shaped cupcake pan which makes 6 cupcakes. They also have organic sprinklez that you can use to decorate your dogs special cake.
Thank you to Puppy Cake for this great product to review.

Posh Little Tutus Review

Maddisyn loves to play dressup and is so cute when she is playing with her tutus on. I love her to wear the tutus during photo shoots she does with her dad and even a few of our friends have come to have their kids pictures taken and chosen to use the tutus adn then inquired where we got it from to order some for their little one because they love how cute they look wearing them.
I was fortunate enough to work with Posh Little Tutus and received the Zebra hot pink tutu and hairbow. Oh my lord what a super adorable tutu, I even want Maddisyn to wear it out of the house when we go out sometimes because I think it is too adorable. Dressup just became mommies new favorite game. The tutu is made with pink, hot pink and shocking pink tulle. It is then accented with hot pink and zebra printed ribbon. The tutu is so huge and full it is great. Each tutu from Posh Little Tutus is made with over 50 yards of tulle.
The headband is made with the pink, hot pink and shocking pink tulle. It also has layers of chiffon, polka dots and zebra ribbon. You can get the bow on an alligator clip, barrette, or a crochet headband (Maddisyn got hers on the headband). the quality of both the bow and the headband are top notch and stand up to lots of playing by multiple kids. I would recommend Post Little Tutus to anyone looking for your children or if you are a photographer.
Posh Little Tutus does so much more then just the tutus though. They have all sorts of hats, hairbows, fairy wings, leggings, jewelry. They also have various themes like valentines day, st patricks day, flowergirl and little princess stuff.

Frecklebox Review
I was able to work with Frecklebox very nearly exactly a year ago last march. I did a review of two of their placemats for Chase and Blake as well as a book for Maddisyn about becoming a big sister because it was only a few days prior to Holden’s birth. You can see that complete review HERE.
This time I was fortunate enough to review two more placemats, this time for Holden & Maddisyn as well as two coloring books for Chase and Blake. The personalized placemats are of excellent quality, even now a year later Chase and Blakes are still holding up very well to the everyday use, wear and tear that they go through. Maddisyn uses her placemat everyday with every meal, it makes cleanup easier for me and we have had no issues with it. The placemats are personalized and then laminated to ensure they stay safe for time to come and are easy to wipe clean. The placemats come in many different styles for either boy or girl. When we first worked with Frecklebox they only had a couple of styles for each gender but they have greatly expanded that by leaps and bounds over the past year and have some super adorable options to choose from each one costing $9.95.

The boys received coloring books where each page of the book has their name in it somewhere. Each coloring book came with a four pack of crayons, they have really enjoyed coloring their books and loved seeing their own names all through the coloring book. Each coloring book has 20 pages the finished size is 8.5″ x 11″. Each coloring book costs $6.95 and again there is a large variety of books available to choose from, you can also do a live preview which shows you what each page of the book would look like with your childs name.
Frecklebox does so many things, they are all super adorable such as the placemats, coloring books, clipboards, puzzles, growth charts, journals, party favors and so much more. I encourage you to go and spend some time browsing their website, with Easter coming up I am willing to bet you will find something to put in those special easter baskets.

Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Purex. All opinions are 100% mine.
I have 6 people living in this house, two of whom are babies, two of whom are boys and one of whom always seems to slop on his shirt. Can you guess how much laundry I do a day? I do on average 2-3 loads of laundry a day and once a week it is more like 8-10 because I do all the bedding, towels and clothes. I can't let the kids do the laundry because I cannot trust them to put the right amount of detergent in and lord forbid they have to use fabric softener i think that would be a terrible request for me to make. I am pretty much over doing all the laundry by myself and while I love my kids it is time for their butts to start doing their own laundry. For a long time we had been looking for a product to help me with this for the boys, one that was easy to measure and hard to mess up. Now thanks to Purex I have solved my laundry problem and the boys are much more careful on getting dirty so they don't have to do laundry more then once or twice a week.
I was given the chance to review the Purex 3-in-1 Laundry Sheet in the Pure & Clean scent, it also comes in Spring Oasis and Tropical Escape. I myself prefer the Pure & Clean because it is 100% hypoallergenic with a subtle fresh, clean scent. Perfect for people with sensitive skin or the babies in our household. Each sheet is a full loads worth of laundry soap, which is set to relese during the washing cycle. Then once the clothes are done in the washer you throw them in the dryer, laundry sheet and all, the heat activated strip then releases the fabric softener and anti-static. Now I will be the first one to stand up and say we do not generally use laundry sheets in our household but with these sheets I do not mind at all, I do not feel the Pure & Clean is strong and leaves my clothes feeling fresh without smelling terrible.
The boys are able to successfully do their laundry without messing things up, we have a front loading machine and we just throw the sheet in with the laundry and it works as well as the laundry detergent that we add to the top dispenser. Not that it ever happens in this house but for people with smaller families and less laundry you can cut the sheet in half and use it in half a load if thats what you have. Buying the Purex 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets I have found is so much cheaper then buying the laundry soap, and fabric softener so I can imagine how much more you would save if you threw the cost of the dryer sheets in as well.
The laundry sheets work in both front and top loading machines, and in all water temperatures and levels. You can still use bleach with the laundry sheets if you need to, it is safe to use on colors but not recommended for hand washing. If have a super dirty load of laundry, like I did when the kids came back from camping over cub weekend, you can add a second sheet if necessary. I think my favorite thing I want to mention is the portability of these sheets. I plan on taking them with us to Great Wolf in March and to Florida in January because they are small enough to travel with and I love them enough that they are worth it.
You can buy the laundry sheets in two size packages. The starter kit which contains the dispenser and 20 laundry sheets. Then you can buy the refills which contains 24 sheets and just reuse the dispenser. You can visit the Store Locator and see where you can buy them close to you. You can get a free sample of the Purex 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets right now from Purex.
The Flu

I think it is finally gone, well mostly. It hit on valentines when Maddisyn got sick, then on Wednesday Lee got it, Thursday Blake got it, Friday Chase got it. Also on friday Holden had a fever and diarehha but not throwing up. I did not get it though, I never get the flu. I have not had the actual flu in 10 years, I just get a headache and feel punky and achy but no vomitting yay. Now it seems everyone is over it but the babies still have diareha. I am probably going to be taking them to the doctor tomorrow just to make sure there is no other bug or something going on because having it this long is not normal in my opinion.
Did the dreaded flu hit your house?
