Bright Starts 14 Days of Laughter Giveaway

Bright Starts is one of my favorite companies out there for children’s products.  I have always been able to trust their products to stand up to the wear and tear from my children and find their durability second to none. I find that their prices are extremely reasonable especially for how long it lasts with the kids.  I love all the bright vibrant colors that the products have had and was not sure how I felt about the playard that I received but I am happy to report that I am just in love with it as I am with the other bright pinks and blues.

We were given the opportunity to review the InGenuity Playard and being the mom of four kids you can bet that I have had and used my share of Playards over the years.  I have had heavy ones, too small ones, ones with bassinets that did not feel sturdy.  I have borrowed ones because i hated mine so much.  I now have one that I sort of like but was not in love with.  Then I got the InGenuity and wish I would have had it when Holden was a tiny infant.

Holden likes to sit and play in his playard while I am busy cleaning up the house or cooking dinner.  His old one he couldn’t really see through the mesh it was so dark and so he screamed while in it because he did not want to be in it to play without knowing where I was.  He also likes to have naps in the living room in the playard while I am kicking around or patting his butt to sleep. 
                 

I love the bassinet part of it and only wish that he was small enough to still use that feature of the playpen.  It is very simple to put together, the bassinet first clips into the playard at each corner, then it zips around the edge of it.  You insert the four bars connect them into pairs in the bottom of the bassinet part.  Then you put the playard mattress on top and you are food to go.  If you want it to be on an incline it is simply a matter of undoing a zipper around the foot of the bassinet.

The change table is great I get to keep all the diapers right in the tray at the end with the wipes, rash cream and baby lotion.  Then I can lay Holden down in the change table and get him changed and we can still even use it for Maddisyn because even though she is 29 months old she still only weighs 24 lbs and the weight limit on it is 25 pounds.  One thing i wish though is that it had a seatbelt, while I would not leave holde unsupervised on the changetable I do sometimes have to strap him down to stop him from rolling over so that we can get his diaper on, there is too much in the world happening for him to stop long enough to get his diaper changed.  I really like how I can leave the change table over the playard for if Holden is going to sleep
