According to a national survey conducted by The Hershey Company, personal candy preferences may provide insight into Halloween costume choices. According to the survey:
- About 30 percent of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, Kit Kat Wafer Bar and Hershey’s Milk Chocolate lovers will do the monster mash this year as a vampire, witch or monster.
- Fans of Twizzlers Twists may get the chance to show their dance moves as they twist the night away dressed in garb from the 1950s. More than 41 percent stated they plan to dress-up in period piece costumes from different eras of the 20th century.
- Jolly Rancher lovers will most likely sport a cape on Halloween, as 23 percent expressed a desire to channel superhuman powers as their favorite superhero.
Ok so I took a look at the survey and then asked my kids and I actually think that the numbers may be right haha. my kids are big peanut butter cup fans and will be a mummy and a pumpkin slayer.
I was asked to post about how my family would celebrate Halloween with Hersheys this year and I thought how fun to share with you all. We will start about the week before Halloween, we will get together at my dads house and have a big Halloween pumpkin carving party in which everyone will do at least one pumpkin of their own however they want. I have not yet decided what I will do for my pumpkin but I can say that I am excited to see Holden and how he reacts this year since last year he was too small. At the party we will have treats to serve, everyone brings something, I will probably grab a bag of Hersheys chocolate bars of some sort because I don’t have a ton of time to bake anything but know they will be a love snack.
Then we will take the kids trick or treating on Halloween night and I will silently hope they they get lots of Peanut Butter cups or Kit Kat bars because those are my favorites but Lee loves the cookie n cream bars so it will be quite the war with the kids because those are few and far between. After trick or treating we come home and dad and I inspect all the candy to make sure there is nothing open or suspicious and then the next day the kids will get to eat some since it is usually very late by the time we get home.
How do you celebrate Halloween and what is your favorite treat?
I am writing the post in hopes to win a Hershey’s prize pack as a member of the Moms Blogger Club
