Lee and I try our best to do a date night once a month, our relationship hit a rock in the past and it was because we simply did not have enough time together to do anything that did not involve the kids. So now once a month we try to do something such as going out for supper, going to a movie, going for a walk, just about anything that does not involve towing along the four kids and all the whining of where are we going, when will we be there, what are we going to do, what will we eat.
This weekend is our date weekend and we will be going to see a movie, what movie you ask? Well I am glad you did, we will be going to see the new Date Night Movie. Have you seen previews for this movie yet? It looks hilarious and I totally cannot wait to see it. It is set to open in theaters tomorrow April 9th 2010 and I am sure it will be a packed house. Have you seen the previews for this yet? I have embedded the trailer right here into this post so you can all see it and decide for yourselves whether you want to go and see it or not. Steve Carrell and Tina Fey are the stars in this awesome comedy about date night gone wrong. Carrell is a great actor and I loved him in Evan Almighty and The 40 Year Old Virgin so I am sure he will deliver in Date Night as well. Fey was a writer for Saturday Night Live as well she has appeared in movies such as Mean Girls (the math teacher) and The Invention of Lying.
In “Date Night,” which opens Friday, a bored suburban couple played by Steve Carell and Tina Fey go on their weekly dinner date and find themselves thrown into a night of intrigue: there’s breaking and entering, a car chase, a shootout and a showdown with an underworld boss at a strip club. Husband and wife come out of the adventure with some scratches and also with their ardor renewed.
See I told you it was funny, now bring on Date Night both the movie and mine.
