After having your baby there are so many changes that your body goes through. You feel your heart swell up, relief that your sweet baby is here and that you can finally love and hug and kiss them. But then there are the not so great changes that pregnancy and childbirth can bring on.
With all the changes I found with all five of my kids I needed comfort items from home with me.
My Own Pillow– I know you can get as many as you want at the hospital but none are broken in the way that yours is, this can also double as a lower back support if, like me, during delivery you break your tailbone and lets face it even without that injury back pain is inevitable with labor and delivery.
Comfortable clothes– I am not one to wear the hospital gown, the second I deliver my babies I want back in my own t-shirts, leggings and comfortable clothing so I feel a little less exposed to the world.
Lotions and chapstick– I always find that the hospital air is so dry and it leaves my hands feeling rough and scratchy and I am afraid I will scratch the baby so this is helpful in making sure that I have one less worry as a new mom. Same with my lips, no one wants to kiss all over your brand new babe with dry, picky lips.
A hot pad/hot water bottle – This not only helps with the lower back issues but it can also help with the cramping you get after childbirth when everything is shrinking and shifting inside.
DulcoEase® Pink™– This helps to prevent and relieve constipation and is the #1 OB/GYN Recommended Ingredient* Lets face it after all the changes your body has gone through to grow and birth your baby it is not surprising that some parts become a little err backed up.
