We travel alot with our babies, and by travel I don’t always mean we go on vacation, going to our parents houses or families houses can sometimes be a choir with diaper bags and strollers and carseats and clothes. Then you add in the extra weight of a playpen (mine must weigh 100 lbs i think) and it is sometimes too much of a chore. When I was pregnant with holden and looking for an alternative to the playpen I did come across a infant travel bed made by Eddie Bauer. I never bought though and that I think is one of my biggest regrets on not buying baby gear was that, I hated and still do hate my playpen.
Holden is past the age of using it now though so purchasing it would not be beneficial to me although you can buy the infant travel bed at Baby Safe Travel.com for 28.99. It has a collapsable frame to make travelling easy, two side pockets so you can throw in your extra soothers and stuff that you need for diaper changes. There is padded bedding and a mobile with two toys attached to it. It is recommended from newborn to 6 months. The weight of this itself makes it a mothers dream for portability and while i cannot attest to the actual use of it I have been recommended it to friends and now have had the chance to recommend it to you my blog readers.
