Five Lessons Every Kid Should Learn

As a parent we all try to teach our kids the best lessons in life that we possible can.  Here are the top 5 lessons I teach to my kids.

  1. Never talk to strangers or get into a strangers car.
  2. Sharing is caring, be sure to share with everyone.
  3. Always be polite, manners is everything for me and I have drilled that into my kids heads from the start.
  4. Hard work always pays off.  Being lazy is not going to get them anywhere in life and no one is going to hand them everything they need/want.
  5. Above everything else love and be loved.  Don’t be afraid to show your emotions.

These are good, but I’d add when they get older:
You are accountable for your choices.
I mean as parents we often bail our kids out of bad choices they’ve made, but if they learn this
early enough, as adults they’ll think about the consequences their choice may have for a good or bad outcome, and then choose correctly.
