I am a cloth diapering momma. I was not with Chase and Blake but with Maddisyn i decided to give it a shot and we loved it and have continued on. We use cloth diapers in the day and disposable diapers in the night with both the babies because it is just easier like that. As a cloth diapering mom though I run into the same concerns as moms who use disposable diapers but magnified.
When you decide to start there are so many choices, what diapers do we use, will we use prefolds, pockets, fitteds, AIO’s, AI2’s, Gdiapers the choices are endless. Then once you decide on a diaper you need to decide what kind of detergents to use, if you want to use vinegar in each wash, what wetbag you want for home, what wetbag you want for the diaper bag. Then comes the BIGGEST decision of all, what diaper rash cream will you use? I did a lot of research on rash creams and have found that if you are not careful with what cream you choose you will make your diapers repel the urine and then you will have to strip your diapers to make them work the way you want to. What we ended up doing because I could not find one at first was if Maddy got a rash she wore disposable diapers all day long rather then her cloth. Then I found a chart that told me what was good in terms of diaper rash creams with your cloth diaper.
Grandma Els Diaper Rash cream was on the chart adn I was so excited to find out it is not white with a zinc oxide in it. Grandma Els is a Natural Vitamin E – an anti-oxidant, derived from Wheat Germ Oil, Balsam of Peru natural derivatives – a plant of Peru, known as a healing agent. Salicylic Acid – Derived from Willow Bark and Promotes new skin growth. Yellow Petrolatum – A moisture barrier derived from natural mineral oil. Anhydrous Lanolin – Insecticide-Free, Allergy-Free for Protection and healing.
This pleasant fragrance-free ointment soothes baby’s most sensitive skin while keeping it protected. It is absolutely the most effective diaper rash treatment product available today. Grandma El’s Diaper Rash Remedy and Prevention reduces the redness, pain, itching & irritation caused by diaper rash. This ointment creates a breathable, softening, protective barrier which prevents wetness from coming in contact with the skin, therefore keeping your baby comfortable. An application of Grandma El’s will heal & protect, helping your precious little one to be more comfortable while sleeping, playing & exploring.
We received the 2oz Grandma Els Diaper Rash Remedy and Prevention in the easy dispense tube. Maddisyn got a rash shortly after we received our review sample and so we got to put it to the test. I loved how easy it was to rub on her, she did not cry when I used it either like she had with our old creams, in fact she would laugh and tell me if tickled, she is too funny and her rash healed much quicklier then it has with our traditional rash creams. I will never be without Grandma Els diaper cream and will be adding this to my baby shower gift baskets from now on.
I also found that Grandma Els prices are very reasonable. The 2 oz tube I received costs $9.99 which is right in line with name brand diaper creams that hurt Maddy and do not work nearly as quickly as this one. You can also buy a tub of the cream for $14.99 which again is right in line with other creams.
Although we did not test it I also thought it was worth mentioning that Grandma Els also makes a Gentle Baby Shampoo and a Gentle Baby Body Wash which if they are anything like the rash cream are going to be amazing products and are both reasonably priced at $9.99 each.
Go to Grandma Els and stock up on your diaper rash cream, wether you cloth diaper or not this is perfect for anyone.
