When the kids are playing outside I usually sit up on the deck and write on my iPad while they play so I can keep a watchful eye on them. but if they are playing in their little pool then I prefer to be right there beside them in case anyone slips and hits their head or something. For that I used to just sit on the ground because hauling my big deck furniture down was a big pain in the butt. Now thanks to Hayneedle I have a a mac daddy chair to sit in right beside the kids pool and I can even recline and relax in it.
The Quick Dry Zero Gravity Recliner is an awesome chair. It is available in 7 different colors, I chose Poblano red/white and LOVE the colors. I really like the tan/brown but my mother in law already has that color and so if we went to a gathering altogether I wanted to be able to tell our chairs from theirs and this was the best solution to that. The zero gravity chairs are durable, rust resistant which is a big plus for me because the kids are constantly getting it and me wet. The textaline sling seat dries fast and it of course reclines which is awesome because it has a little pillow that when I am sitting up I use as a lumbar support but when I am laying down I use it as a pillow and I relax and recline right beside the kids with a book on my iPad and read while they play within arms reach. There are two knobs on the side of the chair that when turned lock the chair into the recline position they are in so I don’t have to worry that if I relax too much or fall asleep my chair will sit up on it’s own.
Lee uses these chairs all the time too, they are his favorite and he will actually sit on them over the furniture on my deck and he brings them up and sits in them anytime we are chilling outside together. The kids love them and fight over the two chairs constantly even the babies because they are so comfy to sit in and so easy to recline.
The one and only problem with these chairs is that they have cup holders included but the spot they are supposed to go on they do not fit. No matter how hard we tried or how many people tried we could not get the cup holder to go onto the chairs and so they are sitting unused on my china cabinet.
