Kinley is Coming: Mimijumi Review

As a mom who breast feeds and supplements with formula due to low milk supply I really struggle with which bottle is best.  I wanted to try out a a few different bottles and see if I could find one that would work best.  I received a Mimijumi bottle for review and while Kinley is not here yet I am certainly intrigued by how she will take to this bottle.

The Mimijumi bottle has natural colors and textures and is boasted to be the perfect complement to breastfeeding and the best possible transition to bottle feeding.  Because Kinley is not here yet I cant say how these work but from the feel of the bottle I would say that the transition would be easy between the two which excites me because I want Lee and Maddisyn to have a chance to feed her as well.

Mimijumi Key Features

  • Free of BPA and phthalates, the nylon bottle is easy to clean and has a wide mouth for easy filling, a screw on one piece nipple and a non skid base
  • Soft silicon nipple is textured and colored to resemble skin
  • Nipple includes an integrated ventilation system to aid in the baby’s digestion
The Mimijumi bottles are easy to open, clean and are top rack dishwasher safe.  They have venting to reduce colic, a screw on one piece nipple so no more fumbling with rings and nipples and a skid free base.

The mimijumi bottle is available in two different sizes the Not So Hungry ($13.99) and the Very Hungry (14.99).  The Not So Hungry holds up to 4 ounces of liquid, the Very Hungry holds up to 8 ounces.  They both come with a flow rate 1 (slow) nipple.  Extra nipples or the next step up can be purchased for $11.99 for a double pack.

I have this bottle and don’t like it at all. The nipple collapses and the bottle leaks 🙁 Hopefully you have better luck with it.

  2. Wendy T says:

This looks like a great bottle. The shape of it and the design seem well thought out.

  3. Betty Baez says:

I had the same problem when I was breastfeeding my last son, I really like the design of this bottle looks like it would take ver well

  4. Elena says:

Thank you for the review! I will recommend it to my friend who has a baby

  5. A.Smith says:

I had no idea that they could make a bottle nipple so advanced that it actually aids in babies’ digestion. What a wonderful feature because my daughter chugged her milk so fast that her tummy always got upset afterwords. This is a great bottle and well worth the cost.
