When Kinley was born I knew immediatly that she would be sleeping in my room until she was 20, she is my last baby after all. Ok maybe not until she is 20 but she will be in there for quite a bit more time, my room is the only one upstairs and I do not want her too far from me. Right now she is in a co-sleeper upstairs and I do have her crib setup in the nursery and while she does not spend a whole lot of time in there I do like to put her in there to observe her crib toys and get some stimulation and occasionally have a nap.
We received two wonderful toys from Lamaze for her crib that I am going to share with you today. One is the Pond Symphony Crib Soother that I am going to tell you about in this post and the other is Freddie and Friends Musical Mobile which you can find out more about here.
The Pond Symphony Crib Soother is in her crib but she does not spend a ton of time just yet looking at it. I think part of the reason she does not spend a lot of time looking at it is that we always turn it on through the day and I think that the soft lights that turn on and off while it is on would be better seen in the evening while it is dark out. It is soft so I don’t worry about her bumping her head on it and getting hurt or anything like that because I have it put really low in her crib. The soother has three classic lullaby songs or you can play nature sounds to help relax your baby to sleep. The options of how this is used are endless, you can choose to have lights only, music only, lights and sounds together. One of my absolutely favorite features though is that I can connect my MP3 player (iPhone) to it and play my own music choices through it for Kinley and the lights will dance to the beat of the music. It also includes adjustable volume, an auto-shut off button and an adjustable crib clip that fits all cribs.

The pond soother is good for ages birth and up and has a MSRP of $39.99 and can be purchased from Toys R Us and Amazon.com.
