What started out as a redo in Maddisyns room and a redo in my office has quickly taken a turn. I started out with the idea of redoing Maddisyns room for her birthday but due to lack of decision making on my part that has been put on the back burner. But while I was getting ready to do that I spoke to a few companies about doing reviews of some of their products including Glidden paint.
Glidden sent me some samples of paint and I fell in love with the one color they sent so we decided it was time to redo the living room. So I went out and got some of the Glidden Brillance 2 in 1 paint + primer to paint the walls. I am going to do two different colors in here because the one color I love is darker and I don’t want my entire living room painted that color.
I also received a rug from Mohawk that I had fully intended on putting into my office but it goes so well coincidentally with the paint colors I think that the universe was trying to tell me that it was time to redo my living room since it has been the same colors since we moved in but all the other rooms have been painted at least once since then.
Last but not least for my makeover up to this point I received some really cute shelves from Kirklands and I will be putting them up on the wall once the painting is finished and they will make one spot on my wall that seemed rather empty fill in quite nicely.
I am still looking for some lighting, end tables and curtains to complete the look but as of now have not found anything I am specifically in love with so that hunt will continue. I also will need to get a new piece of wall art in the shape of a vinyl because the one i have up will have to come down during the painting process.
I am very excited about the changes and cannot wait to share my individual product reviews with you. I know I have not shared the colors in the rug or my paint colors yet, you will just have to wait and see what I come up with when I write my final posts next week. Also look for a great giveaway of a rug from Mohawk and a set of the shelves from Kirklands when I do my big reveal of before and after 🙂
