Mohawk Rugs Review and Giveaway

I recently started doing an office makeover that went awry and turned into a living room makeover, you can read about the makeover here and see the results here. Mohawk was an awesome sponsor for the office makeover, but when the rug arrived I fell in love with it so much that I made it a very large reason to do a living room makeover instead. The rug I received was the 10 x 13 Dawson rug in the Shell pattern valued at $478.00. I absolutely LOVE the pattern and colors in the rug. On top of that the rug is so soft and comfy my kids are absolutely thrilled with it because now they can lay on the floor and it is no longer my hardwood floors they are laying on.

The Shell rug from Mohawk is made from 100% olefin, it is recommended that you use a rug gripper for hardwood floors to prevent slipping but due to the size of this one I was able to put it under the legs of my couch and then under the TV stand across the room so it is stable and does not slip anywhere. This rug is stain resistant and it certainly has proved to be so, recently Holden got a hold of a jar of pink food coloring and had my entire house including himself and some spots on my rug covered in food coloring. We took our Hoover MAX Extract 60 and the spots came right out of the rug, I was beyond impressed with that because I thought for sure the rug was ruined. With regular vacuuming and spot cleaning I think that the rug from Mohawk will last us a very very long time.
