I love to give gifts to our family and friends. What I love more then giving the gift is the thrill on the face of the person receiving it. The more unique the item the more likely I am to give it over and over again providing it gets a great response. When I found Photoweavers I knew I was going to be looking into it further and probably ordering at least one if not more for our friends and family. I started out by ordering one for my step mother for her birthday since I had not been able to find her the perfect gift yet.
I was very surprised by how easy the ordering process was. When you go in to order you first choose which item you want because they have a large woven blanket (70″x53″), small photo blanket (60″x50″), a tote bag, a purse, a pillow, an eco tote or a wall hanging. You can check out the site and find out exactly how much each item costs. Once you choose your item you go in and start to actually create the item you have chosen.
There are two options for creating the woven photo item that you have chosen.
Super Simple Method
Use a computer only a few times a year? We have a very easy way for you to order. Our Super Simple Method does not include border options, text, or design elements but it is fast and easy. If you want your photograph to be just a rendering of the photo, this is the method for you.
Customizable Method
Choose this method if you want to fully customize your woven product. You can take full advantage of the format options, borders, text options and all design elements. This method allows you to customize a one of a kind photo product that reflects your personal style.
When I did the blanket I went the customizable method so that I could choose everything from start to finish. It was really quite simple. I first chose between standard, life’s moments, and portrait format. After choosing that I was able to add my picture, borders, text and clip art to the blanket before placing the final order. Once your order is placed you receive an email of confirmation, as the blanket goes through each step from washing to weaving, to packing and shipping you receive email updates. I loved being able to track each step of my blanket and know exactly where it was. From the time I shipped it to the time I received it there was approximately a 10 day span including a weekend, that was beyond quick in my opinion.
Once I got the blanket I couldn’t wait to give it to my step mother, we brought it over and gave it to her and she literally cried at how beautiful it was (BIG HIT!!!). The picture we chose was one of my dad and step mothers dog Mikey. They absolutely love that dog like a 5th kid and so I was more then happy to be able to give this to her. She has it placed on her bed and shows everyone that comes into her house it and says they all think it is an amazing blanket and they all love it.
In this picture you can see Maddisyn standing beside the blanket to give you an idea of height is a tiny four year old child. It took two of us to hold the blanket up for the picture because it is super wide. The quality is second to none and it is a great throw for a cold night. The picture quite honestly looks just like Mikey too and to give you reference see below the original picture that I used for the throw minus of course the border and text because those were added during the ordering process.
