I love Step2 and have worked with them multiple times before on my blog and hope to work with them many more times. The toys are timeless, stand up very well to my kids and are so very much fun that when buying toys I always look to Step2 first to see if they have the toys I am looking for which they generally do because they are the best for having not only inside toys, furniture etc. but also the best in backyard toys.
Recently we received the Extreme Coaster 2 to review and man oh man do my kids ever have a blast on it. We put it together and were fighting them off of it before it was even completely done that is how excited they were at the idea of playing on the Extreme Coaster. The Extreme Coaster features rugged double-wall construction and wide built-in steps for stability. Kids up to 75 pounds can take turns riding in the adorable little car. I was at first nervous that Holden wouldn’t get the concept of pushing it up and walking up the steps and then getting in and pushing off but with a little encouragement he was doing
it no problem on his own in a matter of minutes. I chose to let the kids ride it without wearing helmets because I felt it was safe enough in my backyard to do so, if my friends/family want to play on it they can make that choice for their children and I have no problem either way. The one thing my kids need to ensure is that they get it all the way up and it drops into the little spots that are on the top of the platform to hold the car in place until they push off.
When the Extreme Coaster arrived it was in three boxes, our first thought was oh my the kids won’t be playing on this for hours. Turns out that we were wrong the actual assembly is not nearly as bad as we thought and in about 20 minutes we had the entire thing up and running with the finishing touch of the stickers on it and everything. In the boxes was all the parts we needed to build the Extreme Coaster including 9 feet of track with molded-in steps, a 30″ high platform with safety rails and of course the roller coaster car with handgrips, footrests and high seatback.
My kids won’t get off this coaster and actually fought with me last night about coming to eat cookies because they didn’t want to stop playing so all in all I say a big huge WIN to Step2 for creating this amazing toy for my kids to pass up cookies is a major thing.
The one and only thing that I would change about the Extreme coaster is that although the directions are pictures sometimes it was hard to figure out right away what piece they were talking about I think that stickers should be put on the parts as they are already lettered in the directions, it would make it so much easier for assembly.
Check out this short video of Holden riding the Extreme Coaster he is beyond thrilled with it.
The Extreme Coaster from Step2 is currently on sale for $249.99 with shipping of only $9.99 so if you want one you better act fast because at this price I bet they won’t last long. The actual non-sale price of the Extreme Coaster is $259.99
Step2 as I mentioned earlier has more then just large outdoors toys, check out these beyond adorable Pin Pals Bowling set that comes with 10 pins and a ball and the pins are even stackable for added fun. It is made for indoor or outdoor use and is recommended for kids ages 3 and up with a value of $49.98
Step2 is going to give one of my lucky readers the Pin Pals Bowling set I described and pictured above.
