Maddy loves to wear dresses all the time, honestly I signed her up for soccer and had to run out and buy her shorts because she had literally one pair that is how much this child wears dresses. She loves her fancy dresses that I deem to be dresses OK for daily wear. I am not talking about big poofy bridesmaid dresses or anything like that, just adorable dresses that I would not allow her to play in the mud in but she wears when we go shopping or visiting.
The little-little black dress shop recognized the need for fancier dresses for girls and man do they provide. I had a very hard time picking out just one dress for Maddisyn because they were all beyond cute. They had a Twirly Girl Dress that is exclusive to them that I wanted so bad but because we had just gotten one I decided I had better go with something a little bit different. So after careful looking, asking Alison from Being Alison her opinion I finally picked out the Sophie Catalou Toddler and Little Girls Biancia Dress. It is an absolutely adorable dress and Maddisyn loves it and loves to wear it. She tells me how the beautiful flowers were put on it just for her and she just has this air of confidence when she wears it.
The Sophie Catalou dress from the little-little black dress shop has a ribbed bodice very similar to a ribbed tank top with a striped tiered skirt and three very well placed flowers with pearl beads in the center of each one finish off the look on this dress. The dress is 100% cotton and can be machine washed which is very important to me with a child like Maddisyn who seems to spill on herself constantly. The Sophie Catalou dress is available in sizes 2-6 and costs $45.00.
Now I knew I could not have her unaccessorized so I kept looking around and found the great Bows Arts Black and White Butterfly Headband that matches the dress perfectly but that she can also wear with other outfits so it is the best of both worlds. She loves wearing this headband and sometimes even her silly little brother pops it on his head and wears it around the house acting silly sometimes. The headband is made with black grosgrain ribbon with a white butterfly and dots design on it. This headband sells for $12.00 and is made in the USA.
While I did not get it I wanted to show you this great little red dot pendant that would go perfectly with this outfit and finish off the look of it. This pendant goes for $30.00 but again is something that you could pair with many outfits and maybe even borrow for yourself haha.
