WeeRide Review and Giveaway

As a family we sometimes enjoy going for bike rides in the evening during the summer, I have a double bike trailer that we use for the 2 little ones. Sometimes though Maddy likes to ride her tricycle or her little scooter and then the bike trailer isn’t always practical for just Holden.

That’s why I like the Kangaroo Center-Mounted Child carrier from WeeRide. It sits right in front of you mounted over the cross bar of your bike so you can always see whats going on as opposed to the carriers that mount behind you and you have no idea whats going on back there.

Lee was able to install the kangaroo fairly quickly on his bike it has a clamp on the front and that back that go around the seat post and the handlebar post then just tighten up the screws with the supplied allen wrench.  We found that it was a little bit hard but did not take long overall.  Lee finished installing it but then it rained or we were super busy doing renovations on the house so we just started using recently but Holden loves it. He sits there and loves to see where he’s going.

Some great features of the new carrier are,
– Adjustable foot cups, gives your little one a place to put their feet and no worry of them being in the way while pedaling
– Enhanced Safety over rear mounted designs as your arms/body are around the child fro better protection if you happen to fall or crash.
– Does not throw off the balance of the bike but better improves it.
– Easy removable carrier for alone rides
– Additional mounting bars are available so it can easily be swapped between bikes

The weather is starting to turn cold now so rides are becoming less and less. I really hope Holden isn’t too big for this carrier next year.  I wish I had taken a picture or video of him riding but when everyone is ready time is lacking.  I will do my best to get a picture taken in the next few days and will update this post with one.

WeeRide is going to give one of my readers the Kangaroo carrier.

Thank you to WeeRide for this awesome giveaway.

  1. We typically use a double bike trailer that my Hubs pulls. We have a wee ride, though, and it really comes in handy when I am babysitting and have a third child to take along.

i don’t have any sort of bike carrier or trailer, so if we want to go on bike rides we go individually. so this would be great for our family

  10. We are hoping to get bikes for Christmas and this would be just perfect! We have tried trailers and the rear seat on rental bikes but I have seen this seat and thought it looks great! Would love to win!

I would love to win this for my sister who has a child bike seat on the back of her bike and is always complaining that she can’t see her son. This would be perfect!

We currently don’t ride our bikes because we don’t have a place for our 6 month old to go. My 3 year old daughter likes to ride herself, so we are restricted to sidewalks and non-busy streets. Even if we owned a bike trailer, I’m not sure we’d use it all that much. Hopefully we can get the bikes tuned up again in the spring and ride more.

We aren’t good about bike rides now. We have a bike trailer but my husband is nervous to use it on our busy roads. I think the WeeRide would be a perfect solution!

I have a double bike trailer for my youngest 2 kids, then my older 3 ride their bikes. My 4 year old gets tired pretty quickly though so I would like to have the option to let me do the work.

we do have a bike trailer but when we go camping my husband never wants to take things like the trailer. So then I always have to walk up to the bathroom a zillion times because I have nowhere to put the little ones to bike. With 5 kids all I do is go back and forth to the bathroom!

Right now, my husband is the only one who has a bike, but once I am no longer pregnant we are planning on getting me one too. This would be so perfect for my toddler who always begs to ride with my husband.

I currently do not have a biking option for my family. My husband and I were avid bikers and even have a soft market basket on one of our bikes for our dog, Ozzie. My son is 6 months old and we are just now looking into how we will bike with him… I love this option so much more than a bike trailer for just one child!
